And why the fuck would they let the new guy make such a huge decision? Are they stupid? You don’t have the experience to really weigh the two options. That’s bullshit. I’m not going to walk out into my office, grab our newest hire, and say “here, make this decision for me that could seriously affect the success of this book.” That’s idiotic.
